Freedom
We are all hurting. Read that again, and believe it. Only the ones who know this, and choose to look into these wounds and sew them up, or put bandages on them stand a chance to not bleed on others.
And those of us who have walked for days, maybe years, carrying our wounds like armor, heavy with the self-inflicted burden, know how valuable they are for awareness, growth, loving deeply - both ourselves and everything outside of ourselves.
But the ones who let their wounds grow, and fester, who avoid them, or resist looking, poking around, sitting in them to discover their teachings...learn that there is sweet, distant, and fleeting bliss in this avoidance. A soft, steady, low vibration hum of passivity that a life can easily be lived upon, but it is a life of limits.
My love experience has taught me a lot about freedom. I'm learning that the freedom we look for outside of ourselves is a false promise with many faces and names. I'm learning that freedom comes from the inside; an absolute when you reach into the wounds of you with courage, and pull out their pieces and spread them like stars in front of you and those you love.Â
Freedom is...
Seeing not blood, but a galaxy of your unique magic - in all of its beautifully tender pieces.
Freedom comes in each chosen step you take to discover, it comes from reaching into yourself, it comes with great awareness of your hurting and it's teachings, and it comes in the courage to share this in the name of love.
Freedom is our gift to ourselves first, to turn hurt into love. And when you love from this place, you are truly free.
How beautiful would this life and everything in it be if each one of us sought out this freedom with fierce tenacity and warrior-like courage? How intense love and loving each other would be if we loved with our stars on the table, spread out before us...like brilliant little badges of honor trusting that each of us has a constellation that makes the whole so much more beautiful...
I want this for each of us, I want to see your stars...and when I show you mine, know it is hard-earned freedom you see.
